Through the eyes of the photographer

Sint-Willebrord - April 7, 2020

Rogelli Sportswear's mission is #enjoythedistance. This stands for enjoying a beautiful ride and enjoying beautiful views, alone or together with others. When you enjoy the ride, you are always a winner for us. We would like to inspire you with our photo shoots and are therefore always looking for beautiful, high-profile locations. We'd like to show you our top 5 photo shoots we did in The Lake District, Corsica, Calgary, Girona and Tuscany.

The Lake District
The Lake District National Park is located in northwest England and has magisterial views. After every turn we were surprised again with breathtaking landscapes. Never before did we find so many beautiful places within a 50 km radius. Fortunately, our Rogelli models were well-trained cyclists because the rolling landscapes were sometimes interspersed with climbs of even 25 to 30 percent. We were also spoiled with a beautiful sunset. A lucky moment because this region is not immediately known for its good weather.

Since our photo shoot to Girona we understand why so many professional cyclists live there.  Cycling in Girona is very diverse and you can go in many directions. From cycling in the mountains to quieter hilly terrain, so for cyclists of all levels. Safety for cyclists is also taken into consideration because along the roads there are traffic signs indicating that motorists should keep 1.5 meters distance from cyclists. Don't forget to visit the city of Girona itself. The Catalan city caters to cyclists with bike cafes, trendy bike stores and hotels specially for cyclists.

The beauty of Corsica is something we will not soon forget. Because of the size of the island, we did have to drive quite a few miles. The highlights on Corsica were Bonifacio and the coastal road near Piana. The town of Bonifacio is situated on top of a massive rock, 80 meters above the sea. The coastal road at Piana runs between high red rocks. It made a huge impression to cycle through it. A route not soon to be forgotten. The sunrises in Corsica are of a special kind. This time the alarm clock was at 4.30 am. Fortunately, the weather was more than worth it

For the winter shoot we crossed the ocean towards Canada. We had planned the shoot in the Calgary area. We stayed with our distributor in Cochrane. Less than an hour's drive from the Rocky Mountains and the Banff and Jasper National Parks. Our Canadian models took us to the most beautiful places and we were overwhelmed with breathtaking winter views and unspoiled nature. Furthermore, we were amazed by the friendly people and the huge cars. But what a beautiful and unforgettable shoot this was.

For our last summer shoot, we chose Tuscany. This beautiful Italian region is highly recommended to experience by bike. It will be a tough challenge though, because despite many beautiful landscapes you can make a lot of altitude meters. The Tuscan landscape is dominated by the cypress, the olive tree and grape vines and towns like Lucca, Castagneto Carducci and San Gimignano breathe a pure Italian atmosphere. Nowhere else in Italy is the combination of beautiful landscapes, cultural history, a pleasant climate and culinary care as balanced as here. Especially in beautiful Lucca, we had a lot of onlookers. Bella Rogelli' was the name we heard from time to time in the narrow streets. We received the compliments with a smile.
