During summer rides, the temperature can rise significantly. To stay ahead of the heat and prepare properly, we share six very handy tips to avoid melting during your ride. Let's get started!

During summer rides, the temperature can rise significantly. To stay ahead of the heat and prepare properly, we share six very handy tips to avoid melting during your ride. Let's get started!

Drink lots of water
Hydrate baby! There is nothing more important than fluid intake during a hot summer day, especially while exercising. Therefore, prepare yourself well. Fill multiple water bottles, or stop during your ride to replenish your water bottle. Even if you are not thirsty during your ride, drink, drink, drink! Do you want to prepare yourself even better? Then make sure you are well hydrated before you get on your bike.

Just like continuing to drink, continuing to eat is also of great importance. During cycling, you can burn as much as 650 calories in one hour. It is therefore important to keep replenishing your energy, think of gingerbread or a sports bar.

Not a morning bird? Time to become one! On hot summer days, it is a struggle for your body to perform. Try moving your workout to the morning. In the morning, it is often a lot cooler, and you can push yourself to your limits. This way you do not have to adjust your training, and you can enjoy a pleasant temperature. "Sometimes all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place at once. In the week that the ambassadors' day was planned, I was not yet part of this cool sports brand. A few days before the event, I received a message whether I could participate as a male stand-in. When you are asked something like that, you do not say no, of course. I myself had not worn anything of this sportswear before. A good time to get acquainted. After the Rogelli van drove into the parking lot, I first got to try on some different sizes of running clothes. After a fashion show on the parking lot, we could start. Together with Margriet, Maura and Sjoukje we were filmed and photographed all morning for all kinds of new, cool content. You will surely have seen it passing by on one of our Instagram accounts.

We started at Houtse Meer with a briefing. A whole scenario had already been drawn up in advance. After the briefing, we started at Houtse Meer and ended at a small harbor. During this shoot the focus was on 'Enjoy Together': fun, together, enjoying what makes us happy, working out together! And why is it that sometimes all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place at once? One week after this fun day, I could officially call myself a Rogelli Ambassador. ENJOY TOGETHER."
