Motivation Monday

Okay, it is not exactly a weather type, but Motivation Monday definitely belongs on this list! Because why is cycling in spring so great? Spring is a wonderful season when color returns to the landscapes. Flowers bloom, animals awaken from hibernation, and clear blue skies with sunshine become more frequent. The world looks completely different when spring arrives. No two days are the same when you are exploring the roads on your two-wheeler. It is a wonderful time to enjoy a ride on your road bike!

Drizzly Tuesday

When to wear long cycling pants?

The true die-hard cyclist does not hesitate on a drizzly Tuesday and gets on their road bike even on the less beautiful spring days. It is highly recommended to bundle up well on the bike so the cold doesn't get to you. Wearing a long-sleeve cycling jersey and long cycling bib tights is a wise choice. And with a pair of cycling gloves, you ensure your hands stay nice and warm too. Since the sun rarely shows itself in this weather, a transparent lens in your cycling glasses is the way to go. Want to complete your kit so you can conquer those bad weather days? A rain jacket is the final missing piece to ensure your ride doesn't end up a washout on a drizzly Tuesday.

Windy Wednesday

Which cycling clothing for wind and sun?

Tailwind or headwind, it doesn't matter to you. With good preparation, you can brave any windy Wednesday. When the sun is shining on a windy Wednesday, the weather is perfect to hit the road in your short kit. Short sleeves, cycling shorts, and cycling gloves are all part of your equipment. The sun is shining bright, so it is important to wear cycling glasses with dark lenses. This ensures your vision is not obstructed. Afraid it might still be a bit chilly? A base layer can give you that extra bit of comfort to enjoy your ride 100%!

Which cycling clothing for wind and cloudy skies?

On windy Wednesdays, there is also a chance the sun stays hidden and it is very cloudy. The temperature will be lower, so dressing a bit warmer is a good idea. A long-sleeve cycling jersey is no luxury. As an alternative or addition, you could bring a windbreaker. Cycling shorts are still a great option in spring. Do you get cold easily? Then leg warmers are ideal for you. They are compact and easy to carry. Cycling gloves are also highly recommended to maintain a good grip on the handlebars. Furthermore, due to the overcast sky, it is best to opt for transparent lenses so you have the clearest vision during your ride.

Distance Thursday

Which cycling clothing do I need?

Are you ready to enjoy the distance? When you set out for a long ride, you might face changing weather conditions. Therefore, it is smart to bring versatile clothing items. The foundation is a short-sleeve cycling jersey, cycling shorts, and short-finger gloves. With arm warmers and leg warmers, you ensure you are always comfortably warm on the bike! A base layer is also highly recommended, and by choosing lenses with an orange tint, you are covered for almost any weather condition.

Rainy Friday

At what temperature should you wear cycling shorts?

Rainy spring day? No problem! With the right equipment, you show you are not made of sugar, and you and your trusty two-wheeler simply hit the road. A rain jacket and rain pants are obviously recommended, but what cycling kit do you wear underneath on a rainy day? On a warmer day, above 10 degrees, you can just brave the weather in your short kit and cycling glasses with transparent lenses to maintain excellent visibility. But if the temperature drops, you should opt for long sleeves and long cycling bib tights.

Mild Saturday

Which cycling clothing for 10 degrees?

A mild Saturday is exactly how you imagine an early spring day. Temperatures around 10 degrees, a blue sky, and a pleasant sun. Excited to get on the bike in this beautiful weather, you put on your short kit. A short-sleeve cycling jersey, cycling shorts, short-finger cycling gloves, and of course cycling glasses with dark lenses to chase the sun! Naturally, the wind can still be chilly, so arm warmers and leg warmers are the ideal accessories to bring along to make the most of this spring day.

Sunny Sunday

When to wear a bandana?

While the previous category applies to early spring days, sunny Sundays often feel closer to summer. Temperatures above 15 degrees, a clear blue sky, and the sun beating down on you. It needs no further explanation why you should choose the lightest possible kit and cycling glasses with dark lenses here, but an important addition could be a bandana. "Why wear a bandana when it is hot?", you might wonder. A bandana dissipates heat and wicks away moisture. Additionally, it protects your head from the sun, helping you stay cool. No more hot, sweaty head—just a fresh feeling!
